Thornbury Cricket Club is an inclusive club - we welcome anyone to join our club. We are always looking out for new players to join us, regardless of your age or gender. We are sure to have playing opportunities to cater for your level of experience. Thornbury Cricket Club is welcoming new players ahead of the 2023 season, across all three of our sections - Men, Women and Youth.  Our mission is to give all players access to quality coaching, and the opportunity to improve their cricket skills in a friendly environment.

 

About our sections:

• Five Men's sides, ranging from the 1st team playing in WEPL Premier League, to the 5th team playing social 30 over cricket

• Two Women's softball teams, and one hardball side

• Over ten Youth sides supporting players from 7 through to 19

About our coaches:​

• Stuart Houghton, Head Coach - Former Head Coach of The Army 

• Simon Hinks, Support Coach - Over 350 professional games for Gloucestershire and Kent

• Mollie Robbins, Women's Coach - Western Storm and Gloucestershire player

Notable current players:

• Chris Dent, Gloucestershire opening batsman and former captain

• Jack Taylor, Gloucestershire all rounder and current white-ball captain

• Robbie O'Donnell, Auckland Aces captain and TCC overseas player (2023)

It's not just players we are looking for, as our club expands we need more people to help out with bar work, coaching, administration, grounds work and much more. Our aim is to provide cricketing and social opportunities for the local community and we have some massive plans in place in order to achieve our goals. You'll want to be a part of it.
